Parent Services

Parent Services, a unit of the Dean of Students Office, provides various resources for parents from newsletters to programs. For more information about their programs and services visit their Web site or watch the mail for the in touch newsletter.

As the parent or guardian of an Illinois State student, you are automatically a member of the Illinois State University Parents Association. The organization, which evolved from the Moms Association and Dads Association, was developed with you in mind. The programs it sponsors and events it plans are designed by parents just like you.

The work of the Parents Association is primarily coordinated by a group of volunteer parents -- the Parents Association Board. The Board is made up of 20 families of current Illinois State students and meets on campus four times a year. As the "voice of parents" to the University, the Board is proud of its impact on Illinois State University. As a member of the Parents Association Board, members have the opportunity to be involved with a variety of activities and events such as Family Weekend and Family Day. In addition, the Board is actively involved in fundraising and the coordination of numerous grants and scholarships awarded to qualifying students as well as university departments and/or campus initiatives each year.
