Parents' Association & Board

Get Involved

The Parents Association is designed so that all parents/family members have the opportunity to get involved. You can become an active member of the Association by doing the following:

  • Serve as a liaison between families and the entire Illinois State University community and develop a good rapport among these constituents;
  • Support student and parent programs with financial grants;
  • Better inform families of Illinois State programs, services, and needs;
  • Support fund-raising efforts of the University;
  • Encourage qualified students to attend Illinois State, under the direction of the Office of Admissions;
  • Help publicize and stimulate enthusiasm for Illinois State University;
  • Support legislation for growth and improvement of higher education in general and in Illinois State specifically; and
  • Invite families to become better acquainted with the University through campus and regional meetings.

Parents Association Mission Statement

The Illinois State University Parents Association enhances the family experience by supporting special events, raising funds for scholarships and grants, and facilitating communication among parents, students, and the University.
