The Illinois State University Parents Association enhances the family experience by supporting special events, raising funds for scholarships and grants, and facilitating communication among parents, students, and the University.
Every academic year the Parents Association Board funds up to $5,000 in Special Fund Grants. Grants are awarded to various university offices and student organizations to support programs and initiatives that directly benefit students in a variety of capacities. Previously funded programs include alcohol and drug awareness workshops and programs, Alternative Spring Break, evening study breaks, emergency information cards, and Sibling Weekend.
With the continued generosity of parent and family members, the Parents Association Board has endowed a scholarship fund for deserving students. There are a number of scholarships awarded each academic year (in the spring for the following year). Scholarship applicants are evaluated on their academic success and community involvement.
Applications for the scholarships are available early in the spring semester and can be found using the links at left.
