Parents Association Board (PAB) Grant Opportunities
Each year, the Parents Association Board awards monetary grants to deserving Illinois State University programs with a share of the gifts donated through the Parent Annual (Tele)Fund.
Grant Criteria:
The following are taken into consideration during the application review and selection process for the Parents Association Board Special Funds Grant requests:
- Purpose – The unique purpose of the project/program.
- Focus – The students and/or university community that will be served.
- Dollar Amount – The grant funds are intended to be utilized to support new initiatives which may be considered pilot programs or previously unfunded efforts. Funds will be awarded on a one-time basis; they are not intended to provide for on-going program support. Special consideration will be given to projects that impact the greatest number of students. The number and amount of awards will vary depending on the annual net investment earnings produced by the endowment’s principal. Lists of previously awarded grants can be provided by the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs upon request.
Applications for the 2008-2009 academic year will be available early in the Fall 2008 semester.
Recipients of the PAB Grant must:
- Acknowledge the PAB as a funding source in all printed and Web-based promotions as well as at all activities, events, and programs funded by the grant.
- Attend the PAB meeting in April 2008 in order to provide a brief presentation and one-page summary about the project/program. Details about the time and location for this meeting will be provided with notification of the grant award.
- Complete all funded projects/programs and submit bills to the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs by Friday, May 2, 2008. All funds not billed or utilized by this date will be redistributed for other worthy projects/programs.
